Do you and your horse need a getaway?

The British Horse Society has joined together with Farm Stay UK to offer more opportunities for  Horse and Rider while on holiday. The two quality assurance schemes are joining together to help us horse lovers find the dream break for you and your four-legged friend.

Enjoy a warm welcome at our comfortable B&Bs and self-catering cottages with your horse grazing under your bedroom window. Horses Welcome members have been assessed by The British Horse Society to make sure that the stabling, grazing and other facilities for horses are safe and maintained to a required standard. Whether you wish to bring your horse on holiday or travel to compete, we make it easy to find suitable grazing and a comfortable stable.

Some Horses Welcome establishments are also members of Farm Stay UK (this will be shown with the Farm Stay UK logo on each members page) Farm Stay UK offers a list of friendly, rural accommodation available to guests across the country, which have been quality assured. You will only find the Farm Stay UK sign outside working farms, smallholdings, rural enterprises and true country properties - making them the perfect match for the outdoor-loving equestrian and an ideal accompaniment to the Horses Welcome scheme.

Horses Welcome members have fantastic riding on their doorstep and are happy to help you choose the best routes. This website will help you plan and book your trip with holiday ideas, tips for riders and description and pictures of our members. Ride from one venue to another or stay at one and try different rides each day – the choice is yours!

Find your perfect getaway by browsing through the sections above then book direct with your chosen venue. You can also plan your days out by viewing the bridleways and planned routes in the area you are visiting by searching through the 'Find Routes to Ride' section.

Enjoy your break!
