Brenfield Farm and Estate is the home of Argyll Trail Riding and Castle Riding Centre. At Brenfield we take great pride in our history and culture, the beauty of the unspoiled highland landscapes, sparkling lochs and rivers, heather clad hills and long sandy beaches. We also take pride in looking after our visitors, and do our best to offer the riding that you want to do, be it a short hack into the hills for an hour or two, or a full week’s trail ride through the heart of the West Highlands.

For the People
The Harness Room bunkhouse is available for 1 night or as many evenings as you require. All ages are welcome and so are your dogs in this rural farm setting which offers both horseback riding and clay pigeon shooting for all levels of experience. The setting also offers miles of forest track available for walking. Included in the amenities are a full self catering kitchen, WC with shower, laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Riding Opportunities
We are still offering TREC training to highest level along with general lessons, cross country training and flatwork instruction to anyone who would like to bring their horse along for a clinic. There are also many rides we can guide you through when you bring your own horse holiday. From beach rides and galloping through the sea to riding to local pubs and having a picnic along the way, there is something for everyone and so much beautiful scenery to see. 

Directions
From Glasgow, take the A82 North signposted for Loch Lomond and Crianlarich. At Tarbet, join the A83 and follow the road through Inveraray to Lochgilphead. From Lochgilphead follow the A83 South (towards Campbeltown) through the village of Ardrishaig, about two miles further on there is a turning on the right, signposted Argyll Trail Riding and Brenfield Farm. If you reach the B8024 road to Kilberry, then you have gone about a mile too far South.
