Ivy House Farm StablesBring your horse to Ivy House Farm and enjoy fabulous riding over miles of bridle paths, or just bring your horse so you can enjoy the local sights – the Cotswolds, London (about an hour away) Banbury, Stratford upon Avon, local theatres etc. without worrying about your horse at home. Also handy for competitions at Washbrook Farm, Stoneleigh etc.
For the Horses Horses have good sized stables in lovely, quite family run yard with straw or shavings bedding. Grazing is available in fenced paddocks. There is off-road parking and you have the use of the covered school, a well-equipped tack room and washing/drying facilities. For People Guests can stay in a large, comfortable en-suite room in the historic farmhouse. You can choose either a super king double or 3ft twin bed. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and views over the yard. Traditional breakfast or a lighter alternative, packed lunches and evening meal also available. Camping is also available. Riding Opportunities Ride over miles of bridle paths, from short hacks to whole day excursions. Most are well signed and we are happy to help you plan your route and meet you with packed lunches along the way. This is some of the best riding country with lovely scenery – it’s a well kept secret. Directions Ivy house farm is a couple of miles from the A361 between Banbury and Daventry. From Banbury to turn right off the A361 after Chipping Warden, then exit left. Then follow the little lane for about 1 ½ miles and the hamlet of West Farndon is on your right. A drive runs through the paddock which will be signed on your right. From Daventry turn off the A361 at Byfield (second lest of the little round-a-bout) follow the road out of Byfield for about a mile, turn right at the t-junction and West Farndon if just a mile on your left pass the turn into the hamlet and take the next gate down through the paddock.
