Carbeth Home Farm is situated in the beautiful Endrick Valley, nestling between the Campsie Fells and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Within 30 mins of the M9 Stirling and the M8 Glasgow. Carbeth is ideally situated for a multi- interest holiday for the whole family as well as the equine enthusiast. Carbeth is an excellent venue for groups wanting to train or ride out together.

For the Horses

Fourteen top class Monarch and Lodden stables with rubber matting plus several large airy wood chipped cattle courts and additional turnout. 23 acres of beautifully railed and fenced paddocks both in-by and hill, grazing well managed with sheep and cattle. Fabulous natural shelter in all the fields. Ample spacious parking within steading along with secure storage. Extremely knowledgeable home with spare tack and rugs available for every eventuality.

For the People

Farmhouse sleeps four with additional self-catering accommodation available at the nearby Ballochruin Farm. Real horsy home with masses of equine books and classics to read and well stocked library of equine DVDs and videos. Ample space for lorries with living and caravans – very welcome!

Riding Opportunities

320 acres of Carbeth Estate (Killearn) to explore. Easily navigable riding: To the south – Through the village of Killearn onto Campsie Fells, link to the Kelvin walk way and Mugdock Country Park and even the West Highland Way. To the North – Using tracks and quiet roads via Drymen into the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and Trossachs Trails and link to other Horses Welcome members in a circular tour.

Large Floodlit indoor arena for training – regular venue for dressage coaching. Good Central Scotland competition base with access to Gleneagles, Sandyflats, Oatridge and Rowallan.

Other Services & Facilities

Trout and Salmon on the Endrick River. Shooting – driven pheasant and rabbit – by arrangement. Masses of golf locally. Shopping in Glasgow (on wet day).

Directions

From the M9 come off at junction 10 and head for Buchlyvie, turn left for Balfron onto the A875, from the M8 take junction 16 signposted Aberfoyle.
