Corehouse Farm B&B

Choose to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lanarkshire countryside at this 200-acre traditional working farm with the Falls of Clyde Nature Reserve right at your doorstep. Horse and rider will be in very good hands at this friendly and knowledgeable family home with stables and paddocks adjacent to the beautiful farmhouse. Corehouse is also a TREC centre with excellent equestrian facilities and regular training throughout the year.

For the Horses

Horses and ponies of all sizes, ages and description are welcome! Corehouse Farm is a livery yard that offers an ideal and practical equine B&B service whether you require a stopover on the way to or from a competition, wish to participate in a TREC event or simply explore new countryside. 5 indoor stables with rubber matting and a grazing paddock are available for visiting horses. Haylage can be provided. Secure tack storage and ample space for parking. Price range: £12 per night.

For the People

Corehouse is a 3 Star Farmhouse B&B offering quality accommodation in the annexe of the farmhouse. Comfortable double/twin and two family rooms are available, all with en-suite bathrooms. Guests have their own sitting room/conservatory in which to relax and enjoy the farmhouse atmosphere. Three charming and beautifully furnished self-catering cottages will be available from spring 2007. Price range: B&B from £25 per person.

Riding Opportunities

TREC is a friendly, fun way to explore the countryside and Corehouse TREC hospitality is renowned throughout the UK and even as far as France! Corehouse hosted the BHS Scottish Championships in 2001 and offers regular training for all levels. Enjoy quiet country hacking on a mixture of quiet roads and off road tracks on the 200-acre Corehouse estate. There is a good choice of circular rides and access to the South of Scotland Countryside Trails is only a ½ hr drive away. Excellent training facilities including a well appointed all weather outdoor arena (30m by 50m) and round pen.

FROM LANARK Take the A73 towards Glasgow. At the edge of town, turn left onto A72 (Signposted for Hamilton). Down a steep hill, cross the River Clyde and immediately turn left at "Farm B & B 2 miles" sign. Follow this road, up a steep hill and stay on the main road till you come to a narrow bridge and street lights. Turn left at B & B sign.

FROM NORTH ON M74 Junction 7 take A72 towards Lanark. Continue on A72 and through Kirkfieldbank. At end of village turn right at "Farm B & B 2 miles" sign.

FROM SOUTH ON M74 Junction 12 take A70 towards Lanark. Two miles after Rigside, with a wood on right, turn left to Sandilands at "Farm B & B 3 miles" sign. Follow B & B signs.
