Drumboy Holiday Lodge is a perfect base for exploring Scotland on horseback with stunning countryside riding around the historic village of Drumclog and in the shadow of the volcanic plug that is Loudoun Hill.

For the Horses

Rolling grassland offers extensive well fenced clean grazing (which is free of charge!). Farm buildings with railed 15ft by 15ft calving pens available for stabled horses at the owner’s discretion – bedding on offer is straw. Very neat and tidy steading with ample parking. Cost for stabling (incl straw) £8/night (only May – September).

Luxury Holiday Accommodation at this family run STB 4 star self-catering lodge situated on the lands of a quiet working farm near Strathaven. House sleeps 9 (perfect for riding club weekends away) with 3 bathrooms, lounge, kitchen/dining room with kids TV room. Large enclosed garden.

Riding Opportunities

The host is an enthusiastic horsewoman who has mapped up several local paths for those wanting a variety of hacking. 18 miles to superb beach, forest riding nearby and Jump cross and 2ft 6 to 3ft 3 cross country course on offer one mile away. Beautiful 32m by 52m silica sand and rubber all weather outdoor arena with show jumps available. Portable cross-country jumps in open grassland. Situated close to many equine events including Ayr races and Stewarton Polo Club.
