Where to stay
HORSES WELCOME members love horses and are passionate about sharing their enjoyment with visitors. You can relax in wonderful locations varying from hotels to farmhouses, pubs to B&Bs in the safe knowledge that each property has been assessed by British Horse Society personnel to make sure it is of a required standard and your horses needs are catered for. We will not promote properties that we would not be happy taking our own horses to. It’s that simple!
The accommodation on offer for equines ranges from grazing only, to grazing with field shelter, stables old and new including loose boxes built over a hundred years ago to brand new American Barns. Many have accommodation for riders on site so that you can keep an eye on your trusty steed right outside the window and others provide accommodation nearby. We do not assess the human accommodation but many properties are part of the VisitScotland quality assurance scheme and we will provide details of the one to five star rating for those properties.
Most of the properties are on a designated riding route so you can arrive by horseback and find all your equine needs catered for. Enjoy the welcome of likeminded people who know how to look after tired but content horse and rider! |
