Horses and dogs are welcome at this knowledgeable Equestrian Centre with excellent facilities including indoor school (50m x 30m), outdoor arena (95m x 55m) and cross country course. Join in the weekly training days or dressage competitions. Kingwater is set in Hadrian Wall country and is ideal for holiday livery. Let your hosts Wendy and Gerard look after you horse just like you do at home, while you enjoy some quality time with your family. There are many visitor attractions in the area and Kingwater offer fishing on their own land. Riders will enjoy the Trail of the Romans, fells and bridleways close to Hadrian's Wall.

For the People

Kingwater Equestrian Centre can now offer accommodation for 3 people in their newly constructed barn conversion offering a double and a single room with all mod cons. Two further holiday cottages are under construction. Choose from B&B with full English breakfast or self-catering with packed lunches on request. Holiday lets are also available throughout the winter, a good time to enjoy our excellent facilities and join in our regular competitions. Price range: £25 - £30 per person per night.

Riding Opportunities

Ride the trail of the Romans and see just how they did it (maps provided) or explore the Fells. Enjoy hacking on quiet country roads in beautiful surroundings that the Roman Wall country offers. Pop over some of the 60 cross-country fences including a natural water jump and there might even be a chance to go on a day's hunting with the Cumberland Farmers or Haydon Bridge Hunt in the winter. A high quality 50m x 30m indoor arena and tuition from one of the very few I's is also available if the weather does not play ball.

Directions

From Newcastle area, Hexham/Corbridge follow the A69 and turn off at New Mills Trout Farm, just before Brampton. Turn right at T-junction and pass the Lanercost Priory on the right hand side, then turn left just past the Priory. Kingwater is 2 miles up this road. Follow green and white signs for Kingwater EC.
