This friendly riding/training establishment (BHS approved) offers riding holidays on quality horses in spectacular scenery in the Loch Ness glen. The centre is located on the new 50 mile Trail of the Seven Lochs and experienced riders can ride the trail over 2 to 3 days. Loch Ness Riding specialises in training for Endurance and is the home of top Endurance horses and riders. 

For the Horses

Small yard with quality stables and grazing. Facilities include indoor and outdoor arenas, show jumps, cross-country course and horsewalker. Secure storage for tack and ample parking space.  Riders need to be experienced and competent at all paces.  Price range: From £10 per horse per night.

For the People

Self-catering log cabins on site (minimum 2 nights stay) from £45 per night per cabin. Local B&B can be arranged in the village (2miles). During the high season cabins can only be booked out by the week (Sat – Sat).

Riding Opportunities

Good off-road riding and direct access to the 50 mile Trail of the Seven Lochs. As well as hacking, tuition by a qualified instructor is available on well-schooled horses, some of which compete up to international Loch Ness Riding Single Riderlevel in Endurance. Ride lengths are usually 1 ½ or 3hrs, but day and multi-day rides can be arranged. Riders bringing their own horse on holiday can take advantage of guided ride services.

Directions

B862 from Inverness to Dores. Left up hill for 1 ½ miles, still on B862. About 50 yards after farmhouse on right (beside road) turn right following sign to Loch Ness Riding/Log Cabins.
