In a peaceful and secluded location, yet easily
accessible, New Cwm Farm offers home from home
comforts and beautiful scenery, with direct access to
common land and forestry. Our aim is to give our
guests a restful break away from it all, but with the
option of walking, cycling or horse riding to fully
appreciate the surrounding breathtaking views.
For the horses
New Cwm Farm has twelve well built stables, each
with rubber mat flooring, electric light, and
shavings provided. Alternatively grazing is
available if preferred. The stable yard is equipped
with a wash down area and a mounting block.
There is ample level lorry parking, complete with
electric hook up, and also modern toilet and
shower facilities.
For the people
New Cwm Farm dates back to 1810, and the present
owners have sympathetically restored and
modernised the old stone cottage to provide two cosy
and comfortable self catering holiday cottages.
The four star ground floor Oak Cottage, provides
spacious accommodation for two people, and
upstairs Sycamore Cottage is suitable for the
single holiday maker, or a couple.
Both self-catering cottages are open year round,
with central heating throughout, and electricity
included in the price. Luxurious towels and bed
linen are also provided, together with a selection
of toiletries. The fully equipped kitchens include
microwave, electric cooker and washer/dryer.
Breakfast-in-a-basket can be provided, as well as
packed lunches. Groceries can be ordered in
advance and delivered ready for your arrival. Pub
meals are available nearby. Crisp, clear water
comes from a private, natural deep bore hole.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but not in the
house please (assistance dogs excepted).
There is a delightful garden in which to relax.
The Riding
Enjoy exhilarating gallops or quiet hacking over
spectacular and varied terrain with breathtaking
views. Outriding is second to none and the local
lanes are very quiet. Guided rides available if requested.
With direct access to 40,000 acres of common land, and being adjacent to Forestry Commission woodland, you can ride over the common - directly from New Cwm Farm onto the Kerry Ridgeway.
