A warm welcome awaits you and your horse at this charming B&B set in beautifully converted farm steadings and granary. Your friendly hosts Sandra and Chris Watts will look after you, just sit back and relax! The Steadings is set in the glorious countryside of the Border hills with stunning views and is only 6 miles from the Border with easy access from the A68. This is the perfect place for a relaxing break in the country – a real home from home!

For the Horses

One of the farm buildings has just been converted into two new stables and a spacious tack room and tying up area. The stable block and one of the paddocks are situated just opposite the B&B entrance, so your horse is literally right outside your window! Another paddock of over an acre is available at the back of the house and next to the spacious self-catering cottage. There are no other horses on the premises and the stables have been built for visiting horses. Straw, shavings and hay can be provided. Price range: From £10 per horse per night.

For the People

B&B accommodation comprises two double/twin and a family room with one double and one single bed. All bedrooms are very comfortable and of a high standard with en-suite bath or shower rooms. A large guest sitting room with log burning stove opens out onto a large patio with access to the mature garden grounds. A former granary has been converted into a spacious self-catering cottage retaining all its character with wood burning stove, timber beams and floors. Price range: B&B £25 per person, DBB £40, cottage £250 - £490.

Riding Opportunities

The Buccleuch Country Rides are right on your doorstep including the Jedburgh and Hawick Circular riding route and the Jeburgh-Hawick Link. The Cheviot Hills offer stunning riding routes and are only a short drive from The Steadings. Choose from South of Scotland Countryside Trails and other Cheviot paths.
