Townhead Fields

Townhead of Cavers is the coach house of a once enormous and grand Scottish estate nestling in trees and mature parkland in the hills above Hawick. The old coach house has an air of ageing grandeur and with its mature stone exterior and established gardens it is a restful and quiet place to relax and enjoy your horses.

For the Horses

Extensive facilities include a brand new block of eight bespoke stables with a secure tackroom and brand new 30 x 50m outdoor school. 26 acres of mature well-fenced, sheltered parkland where horses can safely graze. There is also a small paddock, which can be seen from the guest bedroom.

For the People

Townhead has two completed rooms for guests at present, one twin and one double both with a sink in the room. There are two bathrooms with bath and shower for guest use. Meals and pack lunches by arrangement. Transport to local eateries if required.
Caravans and lorries with living welcome – ample parking.

Riding Opportunities

Townhead is situated on the Hawick circular ride, a 27-mile route around Hawick. The Jedburgh and Selkirk circular Rides and Tweed trails, which are part of the 350km South of Scotland Countryside Trails network, are a short journey away. Townhead is in the middle of common riding and hunting country.
