The UK's first quality assured B&B for Horses

Whiteloch Farm Riding & Trekking Stables

Friendly BHS Approved Riding School and Trekking Stables with a few private liveries set in lovely countryside. Beautiful beaches, railway line, old drove roads and farm tracks for hacking. All staff hold qualifications and all instructors are BHS qualified.

For the Horses

Choose from six loose boxes. There is clean short grazing available with fields being cleaned on a daily basis. Straw and hay available. Use of outdoor school included. Ample lorry and trailer parking. Ride guide/companion if needed. Price range: From £10 per horse per night.

For the People

Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in our Farmhouse B&B. We are on the edge of a quiet village with a post office, shop and social club. Local go carts, golf, beauty salons, saddlers, racecourse and only 15 minutes drive to Edinburgh – the capital of Scotland with all it has to offer from high fashion to museums. B&B £23 per person per night.

Riding Opportunities

Horse friendly farm tracks and disused railway lines through lovely countryside. Some quiet roads and old drover roads. A local restored castle sits on high with panoramic views over the Firth of Forth and Edinburgh. There are beautiful beaches in East Lothian and we can give tide times and guidance. We normally box down to our chosen beauty spot but it is possible to hack to a closer beach. Riding instruction is available and a speciality we offer is an introduction to re-connecting with your horse through groundwork, bodywork and gentle ridden exercises.
