For the horse lovers amongst us, we are confident that we can offer some of the best off-road riding to be found anywhere - whether you are looking for a quiet hack to a country pub, or an exhilarating gallop across mile upon mile of golden sand. We have the flexibility and facilities to meet the needs of both you and your equine friends, whether you are seeking a quiet retreat for yourself or fun in a larger group. We are very proud of the fact that many of our regular returning customers are now considered to be our friends!
For the horse Our facilities include post and rail paddocks all with automatic water troughs offering unlimited turnout, integral barn-type stabling and outdoor all-weather ménage. There is also ample parking for trailers and horse boxes with electrical hook ups. For the people Two self-catering cottages close to Llangennith beach which was recently voted the best beach in Britain. There is also space for campers and caravan and lorry hook ups. Riding Opportunities Superb off road riding over National Trust land from the stable yard over Rhossili Downs to award winning Llangennith beach and horse friendly pubs. Welcome packs with local information are available and guides by arrangement. Directions Leave the M4 at Junction 42 and follow the main dual carriageway into and through Swansea, following the sea-front and signs for Mumbles and South Gower. When you come to a Texaco garage on your left you need to get in the right hand lane and turn right up the hill for the B4436 to South Gower/Gower Heritage Centre. Stay on this road as it takes you up and across common land, through the village of Kittle until you get to a junction at Pennard Church. Turn right here, signposted Gower Heritage Centre, Oxwich, Port Eynon. At the end of this road turn left onto the A4118 signposted Gower Heritage Centre/ Rhossili/Port Eynon/Oxwich/. Stay on this road for approximately 15 miles, passing through Parkmill, Penmaen and Knelston (petrol station and mini-supermarket). Once you have passed the petrol station and school look out for the next major junction at Scurlage, sign-posted Rhossili/Pitton Cross. Turn right here then simply continue for 2 miles to Pitton Cross. You will find us just 50 yards past the Pitton Cross sign on the right hand side of the road. |
