South of Scotland Countryside Trails

This enticing 350km network of waymarked multi use paths has every thing the horse rider could ask for - miles of spectacular open hill ground where you’ll get closer to nature by virtue of being on horseback. Short, sheltered circular paths around Peebles, Innerleithen and West Linton contrast with more challenging longer distance and sometimes remote hill tracks such as the Cheviot network, the Bloody Bush link to Kielder and the linear route between Moffat and Hawick.

Go in search of history and learn the folk tales, myths and legends of the South of Scotland. The old drove roads and Reivers routes have a realistic and bloody history to offer and now you can follow in the footsteps and hoof prints of those who have gone before! Get a taster of these trails on our website www.ride-scotland.co.uk
