Tigh an EachTigh an Each (Gaelic for House of the Horse) is set in a breathtaking location with fantastic views of the Drumochter Hills and the Cairngorms beyond. This is a 4 star Tourist Board approved Bed & Breakfast, with five star facilities for horses, set in the heart of Monarch of the Glen country (see laggan.com).
For the horses Two 14’x12’ looseboxes, set within their own paddock, about 40m from your bedroom window. DIY or full livery service including basic feed available – let us do the mucking out so your holiday is really relaxing. There is a 60m x 30m all-weather arena and round pen available for your use. Secure parking and tackroom available. For longer stays, there are further fields available, one on rough hill ground which is ideal if your horse is normally on restricted grazing but you would need to bring your own electric fencing for this option. Horses from £10 to £25 each per night. For the People One lovely double or twin room, with bath and separate power shower, with breakfast included from £25 per person, and evening meals available as required. You would also be welcome to use your own horsebox living if you prefer, and electric power could be provided. Riding Opportunities As well as the on-site arena, there are wonderful hacking options. You can start from the door, or we would be happy to give advice on other options. Just a couple of miles along the road is Wolftrax, where there are literally miles of purpose made riding tracks (more info on laggan.com where length and riding times are given). Many longer distance rides are available, and we are happy to assist with boxing out in the morning or back in the evening to widen the possibilities even further. We have access to some of the best hacking in Scotland, with everything from a gentle stroll to full day expeditions. You will experience some of the most breathtaking views imaginable. Other Services & Facilities Instruction in dressage or jumping is available, our specialism being eventing, together with natural horsemanship coaching from beginner to advanced and this ethos permeates our whole attitude to our horses. Schooling sessions where we work with your horse in-hand or under saddle are also available. There are many other visitor attractions in the area and we are happy to advise you on day-trips if you wish to have a horse-free day.
