They are both experienced in horsemanship with a history of breeding, training and competing horses. The 80-acre farm is situated at the most scenic part of the Southern Upland Way, nestling at the foot of the Tweedsmuir Hills along the banks of the river Moffat. Craigbeck is easily accessible, right off the M74, close to the popular tourist town of Moffat. There are excellent opportunities for country sport with deerstalking and fishing available locally. For the HorsesEight large stables are available with plenty of good quality grazing paddocks to choose from on the 80-acre farm. Individual turnout available. You are welcome to use the new horse walker. Shavings, hay and hard feed can be supplied. Small parts of the fencing are Rylock netting can easily be cordoned off by electric fencing. Spacious and secure tack room. Ample parking space for trailers and lorries. For the PeopleCraigbeck Farm can now offer accommodation for a single or couple in their own cottage and packed lunches are available by prior arrangement. Accommodation can also be arranged locally. Woodhead B&B is right next door to the farm and there is a good choice of B&Bs in Moffat, which also offers a good range of shops, restaurants, a leisure centre and a golf course. Riding OpportunitiesCraigbeck Farm provides direct access to the Southern Upland Way and to hours of forestry rides including canter tracks – this is the place to get your horse fit! Enjoy hacking on the farm grounds along the river Moffat and pop over some of the 15 cross-country fences that are dotted all over the farm including water jumps (soon to be 30 in total!). DirectionsFrom the M74 Glasgow to Carlisle road take the A701 turn-off to Moffat. In Moffat, take the A708 signposted towards Selkirk. After about two miles, opposite a lay-by on the left, take the sharp right turn down towards the river. After crossing the bridge, Craigbeck will be seen on both sides of the road. The entrance to the farm is on the left about 500 metres from the bridge.
